Giveaways on Look What Mom Found covers two related things: occasional giveaway rounds for readers, and evergreen, informational content about how giveaways work in general. This category is intentionally kept honest about which is which — if a specific giveaway is running, it will be clearly announced with real entry instructions and a real deadline; if none is currently active, the content here focuses on helping readers understand and navigate giveaways more broadly.
A significant part of this category is educational: explaining the common ways giveaways are structured (comment-based entries, follow-and-tag formats, email sign-ups, widget-based tools), how winners are typically selected and announced, and what a reasonable timeline looks like between a giveaway closing and a winner being contacted. For anyone who’s new to entering online giveaways, this is meant to demystify a process that can otherwise feel a little opaque.
Just as important is the content on spotting legitimate giveaways versus scams dressed up to look like them. Real giveaways never ask entrants to pay a fee, request sensitive personal information beyond what’s needed to deliver a prize, or pressure people to act within an artificially short window. This category walks through those red flags in detail, alongside the signs that indicate a giveaway host is established and trustworthy, so readers can make informed decisions before entering anything.
Nothing in this category invents active promotions, sponsors, prizes, or winners that don’t exist. When giveaways are genuinely running, they’ll be clearly marked as such; the rest of the time, this space exists to make readers more confident and safer participants in the broader world of online giveaways, whether those giveaways are hosted here or elsewhere.
Check back periodically for active rounds, or browse the informational posts here any time you want a refresher on how to giveaway-hunt safely and effectively.
